If you own a blog then you should check out this great website that can help you earn extra income in various ways by selling advertising space on it with Flashtising ads.
Offline weblinks. The circular sequence of black and white blocks represents a url, any url you want, for example to your products website or a point of sale. The ShotCode reader understands this code and connects the end users mobile phone to your location in three clicks or less! Aloowing for example people to buy tickets to a concert from a poster. Alot like QR Codes but instead of the coding being in a box they are circle.
Google Voice Local Search
Search for local businesses using your voice, from any phone, for free.
Using this service, you can:
search for a local business by name or category. You can say “Giovanni’s Pizzeria” or just “pizza”.
get connected to the business, free of charge.
get the details by SMS if you are using a mobile phone. Just say “text message”.
And it’s free. Google doesnt charge you a thing for the call or for connecting you to the business. Regular phone charges may apply, based on your telephone service provider.
Found this new service in Google labs and thought it was worth a blog post.
My friend the other day was talking about this new form of advertising called QR Codes and I had no idea what she was talking about so I had her explain it to me and this is what she said.” QR Codes are codes that allow cell phones to scan the code and the phone adds information based on the code or take you to a website or a bunch of other things and this form of advertising is huge in Asia but I have never heard about it in America until my friend who is from Japan said something about it. Wikipedia has a great article about QR Codes is is worth a read if you want to better understand what they are.
Well since Google and the other search engines do not want companies to sell text links, and with Apollo soon to come out and the mobile internet on the rise I think we will start to see alot of advertisiong companies switching to Flash based or AJAX based ads in order not to upset the search engines and lose the traffic from them. Not to say that other people in companies now and in the future will not sell text links ads but why would you want to upset any of the search engines by selling text link ads if your relying on them to bring you traffic and money. Me and a couple of friends are thinking of putting together a company called Flashtising which would sell Flash ads for high traffic websites at first but then plan to offer lower traffic sites advertising oppurtunities as we progress. The thing that makes Apollo so great is that even if the server is down on our end the ads can keep running on the clients end one thing I had hoped for when Macromedia was around and every once and awhile heard a rumor about it coming out, but when Adobe bought them out I knew it was going to be sometime before it was released so I put plans on the backburner for quite sometime but thanks to the great people over at Adobe it looks like I will be able to start another company. Any web designers out there with Flash skills looking for a job please contact me A.S.A.P I looking to hire four of five designers and you can work from home just need a web camera.
